141 Speedway

Subject: Drivers Meeting Wed May 14th Fri Apr 25, 2008 10:59 am

We will be hosting drivers meetins on Wed, May 14th at the 141 Speedway Bar. The meetings will be divided by class and will be held at the following times:

Hobby Stock - 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Sport Four - 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Mini Stock - 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Super Stock - 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Mid Am - 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm

I've been spreading the word about next weeks drivers meetings and the consensus is your nuts if you think anyone will show up before 5-5:30 this isn't Nascar. Us poor racecar drivers do have real jobs we work at during the week. One word of advise their should never be any meetings that ever start before 6pm during the week. I work in Green Bay and have to drive past the race track on my way home and will have a hard time making it to the Superstock meeting for 5:30.

We understand that drivers have jobs, but with everything we have happening and had happen at the track in the past month, these times were the best we could come up with. If you are not able to make a meeting time due to prior commitments, we will be at the track late to answer any questions and meet with those who come late. Please do not feel that we are trying to alienate drivers or resemble NASCAR, we just have a huge amount of things happening at the track and Wednesday afternoon/night conflicts the least with us, the race director and those improvements.

Beleive me we know you guy's have alot of projects to get done by Saturday but do you think burning 4 hours of needed day light to host meetings no one will be able to show up for until after 5-5:30 is the smart thing to do? I'm just trying to be real here. You said you would be their late to answer questions so why not have the Meetings later? My NASCAR referance was in noway to try and resemble NASCAR I was just simple stating we have Jobs to support our family's not Racing. We can't just show up to meetings at 4 pm on a week night.

Just passing along the word from the other driver's I have spoken with.

hey super dave, donnie here, no big deal if your late that is fine. we only want to get the rule books out and answer any last minute questions. we understand you have jobs because we do too. the time are just a general guideline or people would just show anytime. besides you always call me direct with any questions, right? if you cant make the meeting and just want to get your rule book on sat. thats fine too. tks and have a great day, see you sat. peace out D.
